Jasic TIG 315P AC/DC Digital W/C TIG Welder Package 415 V

The Jasic 315P is a water-cooled 300Amp tig welder designed for heavy-duty welding and fabrications applications. This machine has the Pulse AC/DC function which enhances its reliable and precise performance and allows you to weld most materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

The digital front panel is well suited to all users and it allows you to easily have full control of the welding parameters. This machine is also available with the analogue panel which is slightly less advanced.

This package comes complete with the inverter Tig welder, tig torch & adaptor, gas regulator, watercooler, earth lead and gas hose. This plug can be supplied separately subject to the customers’ requirements.

What are the differences between TIG (AC) and TIG (DC)?

DC (Direct Current)

For DC welding the electric current has a constant polarity and flows only in one direction. This type of current can be either positive or negative and is generally used when welding mild steel and stainless steel materials. Stable arcs are produced due to the magnetic field and current of the arc being constant.

DC Welding Benefits: –

• A more stable arc
• A smoother welding output than with AC
• Less spatter
• DC negative offers faster deposition rates when welding thin sheet metals
• DC positive provides greater penetration into the weld metal
DC Welding is an ideal form of welding for vertical and overhead applications. This process is generally used in most MMA stick welding processes and for joining thinner sheet metals together.

AC (Alternating Current)

For AC welding the electric current alternates and reverses ifs flow every cycle between positive and negative elements. This means that the current provided by the welding inverter flows one way and then the other at different times. During this process, there is no net deflection of the arc because the magnetic field and current continually reverse direction.

AC Welding Benefits: –

• The alternating current between positive polarity and negative polarity allows for a steadier arc for welding magnetic parts
• Enables effective aluminium welding
• Fixes problems with arc blow
• AC welding machines are cheaper than DC equipment

AC Welding is an ideal form of welding aluminium materials as it helps remove oxides from the metal surface. AC also has the ability to weld at higher amps than with DC which enhances its performance, especially when welding in a down hand position on thicker materials.
