Description
The Esab G50 Welding Helmet 9 – 13 prepared for Air is a combined welding and grinding helmet which houses an ADF (Automatic Darkening Filter), shade levels DIN 9-13 with a flip-up visor. The large plastic lens gives the welder an unobstructed field of view when the visor is flipped up. The helmet is rated B in the impact resistance classification, which means it is approved for grinding.
An Auto Darkening Filter is beneficial when welding as the helmet will have a polarizing lens which prevents flashburn to the operator and offers protection from UV and IR radiation. It can also significantly reduce eyestrain when welding, this allows for an increase in operation time as well as improved welding quality.
With a viewing area of 97mm x 47mm, the G50 promotes safety by providing a large viewing area for welding. The powers supply is a solar cell so no battery charging is required. The helmet shell is lightweight and is fitted with comfortable head gear for prolonged use.
The helmet can be used with both the Esab Eco Air and the Esab New PAPR Units. It is suitable for processes including SMAW/MMA (Stick), GMAW (MIG/MAG), GTAW (TIG), Grinding, Oxy Fuel Cutting, Plasma Cutting and PAW – Plasma Arc Welding.
