A working demonstration centre, not just a showroom
Our demonstration area at ESCCO HQ in Hereford is built around the equipment we sell and support — Universal Robots robotic arms, a Class 4 laser welding cell, and KUTAVAR CNC plasma & laser cutting machines, all set up and ready to run.
Demonstrations are hands-on and free of charge. We would rather you found out here whether a system suits your work than six months after buying one.
Cobot Welding Demonstration Area
Our cobot area runs Universal Robots UR8 Long and UR12e arms on a Kyrus Automation linear rail system, over Siegmund welding tables.
Demonstrations are generally run on Fronius and Miller power sources, programmed through Smooth Robotics SmoothTool — so you can see how quickly a weld path is taught, not just watch a pre-programmed loop.
Bring your parts. If there is something you would like us to weld, bring it along and we will run it on the day.
Laser Welding Cell
Our demonstration cell houses a Maxphotonics laser welding machine inside a Class 4 enclosure, with an internal camera and external screen so you can watch the process without opening the door.
Laser welding brings low consumable use, high repeatability and far less post-weld cleanup, across a wide range of materials including dissimilar metals — and it takes very little training to get someone productive.
The enclosure is available in three sizes: 2 × 3 m, 3 × 3 m and 4 × 4 m.
KUTAVAR CNC Plasma and Laser cutting
KUTAVAR CNC Plasma and Laser Cutting Machines are available to demonstrate on site.
Bring a drawing or a DXF and we will cut it while you watch, so you can judge edge quality and cycle time against the parts you are buying in or cutting by hand today.
