The 308-grade stainless steel filler rod is suitable for welding 18/8 (304) austenitic stainless steel whilst providing good corrosion and wear resistance. 308 stainless steel is often used on restaurant and distillery equipment, chemical tanks, and in the manufacturing of welding wire.
308 stainless steel typically contains about 20% chromium and an average of 11% nickel. This product is also available in 1.0mm and 1.2mm.
