The 501805 3M Speedglas 9100V Shield (45 mm x 93 mm) comes with side windows, which are a safety feature to allow you to be aware of your surroundings, and a 9100V welding filter, featuring variable dark shades (5, 8, and 9-13) and a viewing area of 45 mm x 93 mm. It is an auto-darkening shield for most types of arc welding with an ergonomically-designed head suspension. The Speedglas shield offers full protection against UV and IR radiation at all stages of blackout and has a heat reflecting silver front. It is highly durable and protective whilst still being lightweight and comfortable, it is intended for continuous use, even in the harshest welding environments. In addition to this, the build up of CO2 behind the shield is significantly reduced compared to conventional shield designs.
It is also highly adaptable with a delay function that sets the dark-to-light opening time, switching time (light-dark) of 0.1 ms and the sensitivity of arc detection can be adjusted for unsurpassed switching reliability.
Its Tack welding comfort mode helps to minimise eye strain during extended tack welding applications. It is designed for welding use by MMA, MIG/MAG and TIG methods as well as micro-plasma welding and gas welding and cutting.
The shield is also energy-efficient thanks to its feature that allows it to turn off after half an hour of inactivity. It meets the mechanical strength requirements of EN 175 level.
