Description
The PMUC certified Ardrox NQ1 is a suspension of an inert white powder in a quick-drying solvent. It is ideally suited for use in non-destructive testing of forged parts, welds, casts and drop-forged parts.
Ardrox NQ1 can be used with Type I and Type II penetrants.
The aerosol has a low sulphur, halogen and alkali metal content. It is also fast evaporating which allows for easy use.
Directions for use
To obtain optimum results, the part should be pre-cleaned and the penetrant should be removed before applying the developer. The Ardrox 9PR5 solvent cleaner aerosol and the Ardrox 9VF2 penetrant aerosol can be used to do this.
Shake the Ardrox NQ1 thoroughly before use to distribute the white powder throughout the solvent and shake when in use to prevent the solid particles from settling. Â Spray the developer over the desired area at a spraying distance of 30cm, it should be applied with a light, even spray in order for the process sensitivity to be maintained. When using NQ1 as a part of a fluorescent penetrant process it should be applied by continual spraying until a translucent layer is attained. Â It is advised to allow a developing time of 10-30 minutes before evaluation.
