Within the market-leading range of Flaig Lifting Magnets, there are two types, depending on your needs: Permanent Lifting Magnets and Electro-Permanent Magnets.
Permanent Lifting Magnets
The Flaig FX Permanent Lifting Magnets are 100% nickel plated, suitable for lifting loads of up to 3000 kg, and are operated using a manual handle, which can be operated with one hand.
The magnetic shaft is crafted from a single piece, offering seamless operation with just a 90° switching travel and no recoil.
The FX range offers various options depending on the shape of the material you’re lifting, including flat materials, round materials, discs, and 90-degree angles. It also caters to different conditions, such as underwater environments or hot materials.

Another option within the FX range is the FX-Pneumatic, a lifting magnet with pneumatic activation of 80-450 kg, perfect for automated systems or for use with pneumatically operated manipulators.
Electro-Permanent Lifting Magnets
If you’re looking to lift something heavier, or larger, you may need an Electro-Permanent Lifting Magnet.
Electro-Permanent Lifting Magnets are the ideal choice if:
- The load is too large for permanent magnets
- Ergonomic operation and control of the lifting magnet are required
- The load’s geometry doesn’t suit permanent magnets
- Remote control and possible load adjustability are needed
- The load capacity exceeds the material thickness for permanent magnets
Electro-Permanent magnet technology offers maximum safety for lifting applications. It combines permanent magnets’ reliability with electromagnets’ user-friendliness in a single, innovative concept.
In the event of a cable break or power failure, the lifted load remains securely in place. With no batteries to maintain, activation and deactivation are as simple as pressing a button or using a remote control. The pole reversal feature ensures safe and easy release of the magnets from the workpiece.
FXE
FXE electro-permanent lifting magnets are equipped with on-board control technology for direct connection to mains voltage – the fast, user-friendly plug & play solution for loads from light to super heavy. Allowing you to lift a maximum load from 300 kg, to a massive 16,000 kg.
FXE-M
The FXE-M Electro-Permanent Load Lifting Magnet Modules are designed for integration with MCF control units, allowing you to create customizable, modular lifting systems.
FXE-L
The FXE Electro-Permanent Lifting Magnets feature a pole type 50+ in a long, narrow design, offering a maximum load capacity of 400, 600, or 1000 kg, which is achieved with material thicknesses from 15mm.
These user-friendly devices are ideal for lifting battens, rails, pipes, beams, and bars. Additionally, with optional pole extensions, positioning the magnets on long, narrow bars becomes even easier, ensuring smooth and efficient handling.
