The Fronius spatter guard is designed for use with the AL4000 air-cooled and AW5000 water-cooled Fronius mig torches.
The purpose of the spatter guard (also known as a gas diffuser) helps prevent porosity whilst welding by diffusing the gas evenly into the shroud channel before it enters the workpiece.
It is important to ensure that the gas diffuser is fitted correctly to avoid any gas leaks which can cause potential weld quality issues.
