KEMPER ProfiMaster 4 m Twin Arms Mobile Fume Extractor 415 V

The Kemper Profimaster welding fume extractor is ideal for medium-heavy duty applications where larger volumes of dust and welding fumes are created. This extractor is best suited for companies that predominately do MIG/MAG welding processes including general fabrication, structural steelwork and joining of thicker materials.

This compact filter device has two exhaust arms and is designed to extract the welding fumes right at the source and then exhaust them with a separation rate of more than 99%. The integral dampers allow simultaneous or alternating work in two places with adjustable extraction performance. The exhaust hood which is fitted at the end of the extraction arms is easily movable with its 360° rotational design which makes it effortless for the operator to move the hood near to his workpiece. The arm is also kept rigid without any additional support needed.

The 2-stage filtering process ensures that the exhausting dust and air is purified fully before being returned to the working area. The main filter is 17m² and is covered by the pre-filter to enhance the lifecycle of the filters. To ensure maximum performance from this extractor it is always important to check these filters at least every week.

Since the launch of the HSE Bulletin in February 2019 for the control of mild steel welding fumes, this Profimaster unit has been very popular for most light-medium duty metal workshop environments.

Features & Benefits

  • Safe operation by rotation field control
  • Maintenance door allows easy filter change
  • Exhaust arm requires less adjustment due to flow-optimised exhaust hood design
  • Increased safety due to filter monitoring
  • Space-saving solution due to two extraction arms
  • Possibility of working in two alternating places due to dampers in the extraction hood

What happens to the welding fumes?

• Hazardous materials (dust and air) are released during the welding process of most materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• These fumes are designed to be captured by the exhaust hood at the source of the weld (the hood should be as near to the workpiece as possible just above the welding process).
• These hazardous fumes flow into the hood, up through the arm and into the filter unit.
• Within the filter unit, the air and fumes pass firstly through the prefilter for coarse particles and then through the main filter.
• Through this process, the fine breathable smoke particles are separated with an efficiency rating of more than 99%.
• This clean air is then sucked in by the fan and returned into the working area safely.
