JAC-2 Dye Penetrant Cleaner Aerosol 400ml
Johnson & Allen offer a range of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) approved aerosols within their range which are used for the inspection of welded fabrications to evaluate the properties of the material. These fabrications predominately would include structures, pressure vessels, pipes and non-ferrous components.

• The JAC-2 product is a quick-drying component cleaner, degreaser and penetrant remover suitable for use with red penetrant testing processes.
• JAC-2 is applied during the inspection process by impregnating a lint-free cloth to wipe away excess penetrant before the developer is applied.
• Certified for ASME, military and nuclear standards.
• Available as a 400ml aerosol or a 5ltr bulk container.
It is very important during NDT processes that you are using the right cleaner before, during and after the process is complete as this is imperative to consistent and reliable test results. The cleaner must be specifically designed for use with the red liquid penetrant testing or magnetic particle inspection.
The NDT cleaners are available as either water-based or biodegradable, both of which are safe for use on a wide range of metal and non-metal surfaces. Using these cleaners will ensure effective removal of the rust inhibitors, cutting oils, penetrant and developer.

What is NDT?
Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a testing and analysis technique used by industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component, structure or system for characteristic differences or welding defects and discontinuities without causing damage to the original part. This process allows for an item to be repaired rather than replaced should any problems be found with the welded material.
